This Nike Air Max 97 Comes With Some Extra Branding

Sometimes the small details are what make a shoe so good. We bring you an example today with this new colorway of the Nike Air Max 97. Essentially taking on an all-black upper constructed out of the traditional mesh and leather combination, this Air Max 97 is highlighted by a pretty dope detail that is seen on the midsole area. On the midfoot, where we usually see the Swoosh logo, as well as on the midsole air unit we see small repeating “Air” and Swoosh logos in contrasting white to give this Air Max 97 a unique look. Additional white detailing can then be seen on the Swoosh logo on the tongue, heel tab, and the midsole.

No exact release date has been announced yet but be on the lookout for this Air Max 97 to arrive at select Nike retailers in the near future.

The 29-year-old “La La Land” star, who is an ambassador for the brand, sat front row at creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s show held at the Fondation Maeght museum wearing sequined trousers, an argyle sweater and a blazer detailed with houndstooth-print accents.

Here, Stone styled her long-sleeve top and shiny asymmetrical miniskirt with black floral print cap-toe pumps.

Kourtney Kardashian’s Sweaty Feet in Clear Shoes Are Everyone’s Worst Nightmare — But There’s a Hack to Fix It

The clear shoe trend is very much alive — just look at Kourtney Kardashian.

The reality star made a modish appearance last night in Los Angeles, where she wore brother-in-law Kanye West’s see-through Yeezy pumps for dinner at celeb-frequented Madeo Restaurant.

The PVC style has become a footwear favorite among members of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, with sisters Kim and Kylie often spotted in the statement silhouette. Kourtney herself has worn it on occasion, including a recent revenge-heel moment after news broke that she ended her nearly two-year relationship with Younes Bendjima.

However, it seems that the 39-year-old could use a lesson on how they’re properly worn, including using a drying agent such as an antiperspirant or spray powder to prevent their unsightly foggy appearance. (A New York City-based podiatrist advised that wearers keep the clear shoes on “when the sun goes down, only for a few hours at a time.”)

Former Kenyan Athletics Official Banned for Life in Nike Money Case

David Okeyo, a former top Kenyan athletics official, has been banned from track and field for life and fined $50,000 as punishment for his part in diverting hundreds of thousands of dollars of Nike sponsorship funds for his and others’ personal use.

Okeyo, who was also an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Council member, was suspended from his roles in 2015 pending an investigation into financial corruption involving him and two other officials — former Athletics Kenya president Isaiah Kiplagat and former AK treasurer Joseph Kinyua.

On Thursday, an ethics court in the East African nation found Okeyo guilty of taking money intended “to support the development of the sport of athletics in Kenya,” violating IAAF’s ethics code on 10 occasions dating back to 2004.

“In the view of the panel the pattern of conduct warrants serious sanction to establish the firm principle that federation officials must act scrupulously and transparently in managing the finances of their federations in order to protect the name and reputation of the sport of athletics,” the three-member panel wrote in their decision.

In total, the court determined the officials withdrew $1.2 million from AK’s accounts over nearly a decade, depositing it into a separate account they controlled. Several hundred thousand of that remains unaccounted for.

The decision is the latest chapter in a relationship that’s been plagued by scandal and corruption, involving a team of some of the fastest runners in the world, the powerful officials charged with leading them and the world’s largest sportswear corporation.

In 2016, a New York Times investigation found Nike allegedly made a half-million dollar payment to Kenyan officials, which was immediately withdrawn and kept off the books, and which a whistleblower had characterized as a bribe to keep Kenya from signing with a Chinese clothing company. FN has reached out to Nike for comment.

Of the other officials involved, Kiplagat died in 2016, and Kinyua also dodged punishment because he wasn’t bound by the IAAF’s code of ethics at the time. Okeyo is also under investigation in an extortion case involving athlete doping.

Stockholm Fashion Week’s Street Style Stars Make the Case for Flats Over Heels

Stockholm Fashion Week spring 2019 finished its final leg today and suits were a common choice this season as editors, bloggers and stylists dipped to and from shows on the streets of Sweden. But the street style stars ditched the heels that would typically accompany such tailored looks, opting instead for an array of flats including slides and Mandal-inspired styles.

For Sabrina Meijer, it’s logical that she’d choose a sensible pair of shoes when shooting around the city on her moped. The blogger and photographer wore black Alexander Wang slides with her skirt suit, allowing the bejeweled design on the shoes to take the spotlight.

Model Sara Johnson chose a fitted plaid pant suit that she paired with khaki-colored Marni sandals. The Mandal-reminiscent styles feature a crossover strap and slingback ankle strap with a sturdy base ready for running around and fulfilling a busy fashion week schedule.

Salem Indrias donned a checked blazer dress for her take on the suiting trend. She skipped the slides and sandals for a different variation of a flat-heeled shoe: a classic pair of white sneakers. Hitting on another popular movement, the blogger sported high-top Filas for a ’90s touch.

What You Need to Know About Toms’ Teacher Discount

Getting the classroom ready for a new school year can get pretty expensive, so purchasing a polished look for the first day may not fit into a teacher’s budget after all is said and done. Thankfully, Toms is here to help change that.

From July 23 to Sept. 10, the charitable footwear brand offers a 15 percent discount for educators on all full-priced and sale merchandise in store and online — making it easy to stock up on everything from stylish slides to eyeglasses without breaking the bank. To make the deal even sweeter, Toms also keeps with its tradition of donating a pair of shoes to someone in need for every pair that you buy.

If you’re shopping online, you’ll need to verify your credentials on in order to redeem the discount. This involves filling out a short form with your name, school, email address and zip code. The information will then be processed through SheerID, a digital verification service that helps companies keep their offers limited to qualifying groups. Once you’ve been approved, you’ll receive an email with a special discount code to use at checkout.

Of course, there are a few exclusions you’ll want to take note of. The offer can’t be used with any other promotions and is only valid one time. It also does not apply to gift cards, taxes, shipping or any other fees you may encounter on the site.

This Is Easily the Most Comfortable Trend to Wear With Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans aren’t for everyone, and by everyone, I mean me. Don’t shoot the messenger, but I, unfortunately, don’t feel like my best self while rocking the classic denim style. A Major ’90s Jewelry Trend Is Back (and It Isn’t Chokers)

It’s been a minute since the last great ’90s necklace trend swept the nation (chokers, of course), and I’m happy to report that there’s a new one. Even better, it looks perfect with all the other jewelry trends that everyone is wearing right now. As a tween, my friends and I were obsessed with Y necklaces. Also known as lariats, the elegant, delicate style is easy to wear, alluring, and perfect for mixing and matching with other necklaces, as is the way to do necklaces right now. The trend bled into the early 2000s but faded into the background in more recent years. So why do I think it’s coming back?

For starters, Hailey Baldwin has been wearing it on repeat this summer. Additionally, lariat sightings have been a more and more regular spotting during my Instagram feed scrolls. And lastly, a quick search through some of the best places to buy jewelry on the internet confirmed that they’re being stocked everywhere. In my humble opinion, all of that adds up to a rising trend. Scroll on to see the Y necklace trend via Instagram and to shop my favorite ones.

Jessica Alba’s Daughter Is All Grown-Up and Looks Exactly Like Her Mom

It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade since Jessica Alba first became a mom and that her elder daughter is almost a teenager. Ten-year-old Honor Warren and Alba are currently living their best lives on the cutest mother-daughter vacation in Milan, and we literally did a double take when we saw photos of the duo. It seems to us that Honor is the true spitting image of her mom (well, not including the purple-tipped hair).

Not only do they look like twins, but Honor has clearly already adopted her mom’s impeccable style too, donning what appears to be a blazer, plaid jumpsuit, and black sneakers while in Italy. (We’d be lying if we said we didn’t want to wear her exact ‘fit this fall.) We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on her style in the years to come.

Keep scrolling to see what we’re talking about for yourself, plus all the adorable ‘grams from their picture-perfect vacation.
